Located at the foot of Mount Fuji, Fuji-Q Highland is a popular amusement park because of the good access to Tokyo and thrill rides. Roller coasters, big swings, and other thrill rides are the popular attraction of Fuji-Q Highland. People make long lines to ride on roller coasters such as Fujiyama, Dodonpa, and eejanaika. It is said that the president of the Fuji-Q Highland Company loves thrill rides and he is eager to renew the record of roller coasters to be in the Guinness Book. But Fuji-Q Highland has rides for small children, too. Thomas Land and Hamtaro Land are popular among children. The ride of Thomas and Hamtaro Land do not have restrictions on age or height. Fuji-Q Highland often adds new attractions. Recently, Evangelion World opened in July 2010. It is a museum of Evangelion and displays a life-sized head of Eva-01.
Fuji-Q Highland is surrounded beautiful natural environment. If you go to the amusement park, you should go to Lake Kawaguchi, too. It is one of Five Fuji Lakes. Reflected Mount Fuji on the surface of the lake is wonderful.

1-day pass Adults: 4,800 yen Junior: 4,300 yen Children: 3,500 yen
2-day pass Adults: 7,900 yen Junior: 7,100 yen Children: 5,800 yen
Seniors (over 65) and infants: 2,500 yen (including admission)
*For groups, prices are discounted. The rate varies according to the number of people.

Weekdays: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Parking lot: 4:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m.

ACCESS

Train: About 2 hours from Shinjukku Station to Otsuki Station on the JR Chuo Line. Transfer to Fujikyu Line to Fuji-Q Highland (app 50 minutes).
Highway bus: 100 minutes from the west exit of Shinjuku Station.
150 minutes from the Yaesu exit of Tokyo Station.
